SYNOPSIS OF TOTAL DENIAL FILM:
Total Denial is the "inspiring story of fifteen villagers from the jungles of Burma whose quest for justice eventually leads them to bring a suit in a U.S. court against two oil giants - UNOCAL and TOTAL - for human-rights abuse." ...
Milena Kaneva (Director and Producer) for 5 long years collected accounts from Burmese villagers of forced labour, re-location of villages, rape, and murder associated with construction of the Yadana pipeline. Milena not only won the Human Rights prize at the Prague Film Festival but her film and this case inspired other similar lawsuits against other corporate and/or Energy/Oil giants. Although Milena could be described as a TRUE ACTIVIST and has been fighting the case of Burma (Myanmar) arm in arm with the villagers and with environmental and human rights organisations, she has followed this long case with objectivity and has based in on facts.
